REFLECTING ON 2020

REFLECTING ON 2020

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2021. We are a little late on the update but we wanted to send some 2020 highlights:

Spencer and Shayne spent most of the year in Bali with their 23 employees restructuring, designing and sampling. Despite the challenges they managed to keep all their employees safe and employed.

Claire spent the year managing operations in Los Angeles and providing the excellent customer care many of you have experienced. She kept the business running through shelter-in-place ordinances, building closures and shipping challenges (thank you for your continued patience).

Like many of us, we experienced extreme challenges, as individuals, a company, community members and humans. We feel thankful to be able to operate our independently run company. We are continually adapting and appreciate all the ways we have felt supported through this learning process.

Did you know everything we make is completed within our own workshop? Your purchase supports slow fashion, livable wages, health care and more. Thank you for choosing small.

Some of the ways we were able to give back in 2020:

-Provided food staples for 56 families for 2 weeks through art sale donations

-Donated money to help provide basic school supplies to an orphanage

-Donated labor to repair a roof for a family of 5

-Donated to Orangutan Outreach, an orangutan rehabilitation center

-Standing monthly contribution to ACLU and Amnesty

Thank you for your part in all of this. We couldn't do any of it without you. Wishing everyone a new year filled with hope and love.
